【東日本大震災復興支援チャリティコンサート"Music for Japan"概要】

開催日時	2011年4月16日（土）午後4時30分から6時30分
場所	ソニーエレクトロニクス本社ビル（カリフォルニア州サンディエゴ市）
目的	音楽を通じて復興支援をしたいという気持ちをサンディエゴから被災地の人に届ける 被災地の復興支援に役立てていただくための寄付を行う
入場料金	無料（寄付金をお願いしました）
参加者数	約880人
協賛会社数	40社
ボランティア人数	約80名
寄付金総額	約30,000米ドル 入場料は頂かず、参加者のご好意による寄付を募りました。寄付金に加え、チャリティコンサートTシャツやスナック、水などの販売、ソニー製品などのサイレントオークションの収益金などから、Tシャツなどの最小限のコストを差し引いた全額を寄付。より多くの寄付金を被災地に送るために、企画・運営はボランティアグループで行い、イベント企画会社のサポート等は受けていません。
寄付先	Japan Society
演奏者	全6組（詳細は以下に記載）。また、参加者全員で「上を向いて歩こう」を合唱し、チャリティコンサートを終了しました。

【その他ご参考情報】

• Ustreamを使ったLive放送も行い、視聴者数は最高で750 人を超えました。これもすべて、ボランティアメンバーで実現しました。

• 元WBC日本代表の大塚選手（元パドレス）、JJ専属モデルのオードリー亜谷香さんのサイン・写真会を開催。
• 司会は、San Diegoのテレビ局Channel 6のアンカーのRuben Galvanがボランティアで務めてくれました。

チャリティコンサートは、子どもから大人まで、そして国籍を問わず、たくさんの方が集まってくださり、はじめから終わりまで、大変盛況でした。

日本の復興支援に対する非常に強い思いを感じました。

概要

カリフォルニア・サンディエゴ発のチャリティコンサートを企画・運営するグループです。目的は

1. 音楽を通じてアメリカにいる人のハートを日本の人に届ける
2. 日本の災害復旧のために寄付を行う

出演ミュージシャン

• Hiroko Yoshinaga, Opera singer

  Hiroko Yoshinaga, was born and raised in Japan. When she was twenty years old, she moved to San Diego, CA. Then, she has begun studying and singing in opera. She started as a mezzo-soprano; such roles in Cherbino from Le Nozze di Figaro, and Carmen. Now, she sings as a spint-soprano; such as Madame Butterfly and Turandot.
  
  She has sung with Opera San Jose, Los Angeles Opera, San Diego Opera, San Diego Lyric Opera, Small Opera of San Diego, San Diego State University Opera Theater, San Francisco Conservatory Opera, Bay Area Summer Opera Training Institute, and American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria.

• Japanese Chorus Kaguya

  Japanese Chorus Kaguya of San Diego is a group of individuals who love to sing Japanese songs. The group aims for musical improvement while maintaining harmony of both voices and hearts. Their repertoire includes hundred-year old classical songs as well as modern songs from current Japan. The motto of the group is that each one offers hands to the well-being of the group and others in the community.
  
  Music Director and Conductor, Mariko Kanamitsu, is a professional singer and a voice teacher, and has many years of experience in leading various chorus groups in Japan and the United States. The Accompanist, Mizue Shapiro, is an accomplished pianist, a composer, and also has years of experience educating piano students. The group offers concerts to the local community, not limited to the Japanese community.

• Dante & Terry (DT)

  Dante Henderson (sometimes credited as Dante Lamar Henderson) is a singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer, model and actor.

• Jesus & Jackson Band

  The Jesus Jackson Show is Jesus Guillermoprieto and Jackson Patrick. From Jimmy Buffett to Jimmie Hendrix, from Santana to surf music, and with some Jack Johnson, Los Lonely Boys, Eagles, and original songs thrown in, our music provides that great southern California sound - big vocal harmonies and tasty guitar work! Although we play frequently as a duo in clubs around San Diego and the north county area, for bigger venues and private parties, we bring in our fantabulous rhythm section, The Baysiders, featuring Gordon Costa on bass and Craig Dawson on drums.
